What to expect at your first appointment

When seeing Dr Williams you should expect to allow at least 60 minutes for the first meeting. The young person or child generally visits one of her outpatient clinics with a member or members of their family. Dr Williams will attempt to complete the assessment in that time but it may be necessary for you to return on another day in order that she can obtain all the information needed to arrive at an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan for the young person or child.

Dr Williams will agree your child’s treatment as necessary and will liaise with other agencies;

These include:-

CBT
Dietitian
Family Therapy

Dr Williams keeps in close contact with the agencies she refers to and will review the young person or child’s progress on a regular basis.
